Every kid deserves a team. Every adult deserves a place to play.

The Colorado Athletics Foundation funds access to youth and adult athletics across multiple sports programs — covering fees, equipment, and training for families and communities that the cost of sports too often leaves out.

Our mission

Accessibility. Diversity. Opportunity.

We create an inclusive, accepting community with an avenue to train and improve athletics, fitness, skills, and conditioning for a healthy population — regardless of experience and income. Athletics are our vehicle to create awareness, raise funds, and open opportunity for youth and minorities across Colorado.

Accessibility

Cost should never decide who gets to play. We fund scholarships, gear, and program fees so income is not a barrier to the court, the field, or the gym.

Diversity

We invest where access gaps are widest — youth, women, and minority communities — and build programs where everyone is welcome and represented.

Opportunity

Sport builds discipline, confidence, mentorship, and community. Every dollar we raise turns into a real opportunity for an athlete who wouldn't otherwise have one.

Why it matters

The need for after-school athletics

7.7 million

kids and teens in the U.S. are alone and unsupervised after school — and for every child in an after-school program, three more are waiting for a spot. Nearly 25 million would join a program if one were available to them.

Where your support goes

One foundation. Multiple programs. Three sports.

COAF funds access, scholarships, and programming delivered through youth and adult athletic programs across the Denver metro area. Over several years, we've helped hundreds of local families get off the sidelines and into the game.

How it works

From your gift to game day

You give

Donations and event proceeds fund the foundation. Every gift is tax-deductible and goes toward access — fees, equipment, coaching, and facilities time.

We fund access

Families and adults apply for scholarships and reduced-cost spots. We award support based on need across our youth and adult programs.

Athletes play

Kids join teams. Adults join training. Communities get healthier, stronger, and more connected — and athletes grow on and off the court.

Be the reason someone gets to play.

A single gift can cover a season of fees for a young athlete.
